Develop infrastructure as code using Terraform, Python, and GitHub Actions to manage KubernetesManage the lifecycle of Kubernetes clusters, including upgrades and implementing best practices.Document solutions, architectural patterns, and best practices around the Kubernetes environmentWork with internal IT teams (Risk, Security, Compliance) to implement security policies on Kubernetes clusters.Implement observability solutions on Kubernetes and develop alerting and monitoringOptimize cluster performance, workload scheduling, resource utilization, and cost efficiency across on-premises and cloud environments.Set up and manage the networking plumbing for Kubernetes.Troubleshoot Kubernetes issues related to resources deployed on the clusterCollaborate with internal application teams to best utilize KubernetesEncourage an environment of sharing and team work among the team.Stay current with systems technology best practices and changing technologies, in order to maintain domain expertise and recommend enhancements or changesSupport communication and response process by responding to users on system issues, maintenance, and system status, and advising and escalating on any prolonged or major issuesParticipate in incident response, root-cause analysis, platform support, and an on-call off-hours support to ensure platform reliability and availability.All you'll need for successMinimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job ExperienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/trainingKubernetes and platform engineering experienceA strong understanding of DevOps philosophy and best practices3 years of experience as a software developer, platform engineer, or infrastructure engineerPreferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job ExperienceMaster's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/trainingAzure or Kubernetes technical certifications, such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator certification2+ years of Microsoft Azure Kubernetes Service(AKS) with deep understanding of container orchestration and distributed system concepts2+ years of experience implementing infrastructure as codeSkills, Licenses & CertificationsAdvanced ability to plan strategically for current and future business environments, including future technology and business design changes to create flexible, scalable solutionsIn-depth knowledge of IT business operations, systems requirements, and processesExperience keeping production environments operating at peak performance on the cloud and in containersExperience managing production Kubernetes infrastructure with exposure to the use of cloud vendor Kubernetes solutions such as AKS'Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code and configuration as code built and deployment using CI/CD best practices. Working experience with GitHub/GitHub Actions and ArgoCD are preferred.Experience with service mesh technologies such as IstioExperience with Observability technologies and optimizing monitoring using tools such as Prometheus, Dynatrace, Grafana, or DatadogKnowledge of Linux OS, network, and Azure PaaS solutionsDesire to be part of an incredible team.
