Job Description

Description:

Are you an avid fisherman who knows your way around a drift boat and enjoys being on the water? Are you looking for an opportunity to turn that passion into a career in sales? We’re looking for a Drift Boat Sales & Outfitting Specialist to join our team.

This is a hands-on role that combines drift boat outfitting, customer service, and sales. You’ll help prepare and customize boats, work directly with customers, and learn how to guide them through the boat-buying process. You don’t need to be an experienced salesperson—we’re looking for someone who is motivated, personable, coachable, and eager to learn. We’ll provide the training and product knowledge; you bring the drive, enthusiasm, and passion for fishing and drift boating.

The ideal candidate is an experienced fisherman who is comfortable rowing a drift boat, enjoys talking with people, has a mechanical mindset, and is excited about developing sales skills. If you’re the person your friends call when they want to talk fishing, boats, or gear—and you’re ready to take that passion into a career—this could be a great fit.

Duties & Responsibilities

· Assist with the outfitting, assembly, customization, maintenance, and preparation of drift boats for delivery and customer use.

· Learn and develop sales skills while working directly with customers throughout the boat-buying process.

· Educate customers on drift boats, features, accessories, and available options to help them find the right setup for their needs.

· Build strong customer relationships and provide a knowledgeable, professional, and enjoyable buying experience.

· Communicate customer needs, project timelines, and progress with internal teams.

· Perform basic troubleshooting and problem-solving during the boat outfitting and preparation process.

· Help maintain product knowledge of drift boats, accessories, and related equipment.

· Participate in establishing and meeting standards and timelines for boat outfitting, assembly, and customer service.

· Assist with shop organization, inventory, supplies, and daily operational tasks.

· Request materials and equipment needed to complete projects and help maintain inventory levels.

· Follow all safety practices and report concerns as needed.

· Maintain a clean, organized, and professional shop and showroom environment.

· Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Qualifications

· Avid fisherman with hands-on drift boat experience.

· Ability to safely row and maneuver a drift boat.

· Genuine interest in drift boats, fishing, and the outdoor industry.

· Strong desire to learn and develop a career in sales.

· Coachability and willingness to participate in sales and product training.

· Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools, equipment, and boat components.

· Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to build positive relationships.

· Friendly, approachable, positive, and professional demeanor.

· Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment.

· Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

· Comfortable working in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.

· Adaptable to changing priorities and willing to learn new processes.

· Previous sales experience is preferred but not required. We’re more interested in your drive, personality, work ethic, and willingness to learn.

· Previous boating, fishing, guiding, or outdoor industry experience is a plus.
